Refund policy


At Bertrand de Vismes - Art, we strive to ensure that our customers are fully satisfied with their purchase. However, if for any reason you are not completely happy with your painting, our return and refund policy is here to assist you. This policy complies with EU consumer protection regulations.

1. Right of Withdrawal
 
- 14-Day Cooling-Off Period: Customers have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving the artwork, without providing any reason. If more than 14 days have passed since the delivery, unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund under this right.
- Exemptions: Custom-made or commissioned artwork, as well as digital downloads, are excluded from the right of withdrawal.
- Notification: To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision within the 14-day period. Please contact us at berdevimart@gmail.com with your order details to initiate the withdrawal process.
- Return Process: After notifying us of your withdrawal, you have another 14 days to return the artwork in its original condition.
- Refunds for Withdrawals: Once the artwork is returned in its original condition, we will refund the full purchase price within 14 days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
- Return Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping costs, unless the item was faulty or not as described.

2. Returns for Damaged or Defective Items
 
If your artwork arrives damaged or not as described, you are entitled to a replacement or refund under EU law.
- Notification: Please notify us of any defects or damage within 48 hours of receiving the item. We may request photos to assess the damage.
- Replacement or Refund: Depending on the situation, we will either replace the item or offer a full refund. We will also cover the return shipping in this case.

3. Refunds
 
- Refund Processing Time: Once we receive the returned item and it is inspected, we will process the refund within 14 days.
- Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.
- Non-Refundable Costs: Shipping costs for non-damaged items are non-refundable. Any additional shipping upgrades (such as express shipping) are also non-refundable.

4. Cancellations
 
Order Cancellation: Orders can be canceled for a full refund if the request is made within 24 hours of placing the order. After this period, the order may already be processed, and cancellation may not be possible.
